Hugh O Donovan.  Reg Psychol P.s.S.I is a founding member and Chair of the Coaching Psychology Group (CPG), Division of Work Psychology (DWOP), Psychological Society of Ireland. He is also a founding member of the British Psychological Society, Special Group in Coaching Psychology.    He is an Honorary Vice President of the Society of Coaching Psychology.  He is a published author having developed a psychological coaching model (CRAIC) specifically for the Irish life and Business context.   He is also a Certified (BPS) Occupational Testing Practitioner (Level A & B). 

He was recently appointed an Honarary Vice President of the Society for Coaching Psychology. 

Professionally, Hugh runs a successful work psychology and coaching practice where he engages with both private and public sector clients. Additionally, he lectures part-time in the Applied Psychology Dept in University College Cork where he delivers modules at Masters Level on Designing and Leading OD Interventions along with Co- Directing the Higher Diploma in Coaching/Coaching Psychology (Level 8).

He is a Director of MyMind. (PPD).   MyMind is an organisation with charitable status set up by a group of Polish Psychologists in response to a demand from immigrants both Polish and Eastern European for Psychological services delivered in their mother tongue and consistent with service models that they would understand. This community based model is currently being rolled out throughout the country.

After twenty three years service in the Irish Defense Forces serving in senior command, operational and administrative appointments both at home and abroad (Middle East and Former Yugoslavia), he retired to set up and run his own business. 

He engages with his clients in a solution focused manner to facilitate change and development and to enhance overall balance and well-being.  The approach is individualized (No one size fits all), solution focused and stretching.

In his spare time he likes to go to remote places, and has lead high altitude trekking expeditions to the Peruvian Andes, the Nepali Himalaya, Kilimanjaro, and the Caucuses.  His next trip (when he makes a choice) is to Patagonia.
